Origin/meaning

In the center of the coat of arms is a pine tree - a plant of the Maimaga nasleg, a symbol of support and unity of generations. Its branches reach upward, and at the ends there are seven cones, which symbolize the historical, geographical, socio-economic, agricultural and spiritual-cultural development of the nasleg. There is a legend of the Maimaga people that when KhotunMaimaga held Ysyakh, a small pine tree grew in that place. KhotunMaimaga held a rite of worship (algys) to this pine tree and gave it the name "SergeBes" and said that if this pine tree grows, scatters seeds and multiplies, then the Maimaga tribe will fertilely settle in this middle world.

On both sides there are two swans - this is the totem bird of the Maimaga tribe, a symbol of loyalty, devotion, well-being. The name Maimaga means White Swan: may - swan, maga - white.

The white wavy stripe represents the Lena River, in the valley of which the territory of the nasleg is located.
