Arms: Azure, a fesse wavy, in chief two crosses of St. Cuthbert and in base a triple-towered castle, all argent.
Crest: On a wreath of the colours, On a mount vert an oak tree proper, pendent from the branches thereof a portcullis, the chain sable, all between two thrift flowers stalked and leaved proper.
Motto: Service and security.
