NO 212 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE

History: Formed at Dunkerque in June 1917 as No 12 Squadron, Royal Naval Air Service and renumbered on 1 April 1918.

Raising from water barry wavy argent/azure, a flying fish proper.
Motto: A mari ad astra

Origin/meaning

The Flying Fish symbolises the Flying Boats which was operated by the Squadron. The Motto transaltes as ”From the sea to the stars”. The Badge was approved in March 1945.
