English Badge: Argent a lark volant proper.

Motto: JE TE PLUMERAI. Motto: We stand on guard.

Origin/meaning

The badge is derived from the squadron nickname “Alouette” (lark in French). The position of the lark recalls a bomber over its target, ready to strike. The Motto in French translates as “I will pluck your feathers”. The motto is taken from the chorus of the French folk song “Alouette”.
