Official blazon

Argent a cross vert, and in the first quarter a trefoil slipped of the last, with the MOTTO:- Atavis et armis

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 20, 1969.

The green cross on a silver field is the Insignia of the Order of St. Lazarus. The trefoil (shamrock) symbolises Ireland.

The order uses the arms with mantling, crown and chain, which are not part of the official grant.
