Stema Prigor

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 5, 2005.

The golden hand holding the cross is the symbolic image of the anti-communist struggle waged by the priest Coriolan Buracu in 1950 and after.

The green mountains refer to the forest richness of the locality, located in the Semenicului area.

The wavy silver bar symbolizes the springs of the river Nera, and the wheel represents the traditional occupation of the inhabitants, spinning.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
