Stema Vărgata

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 29, 2014.

The eel gives the name of the locality, this being often found in the swampy areas of the commune.

The wheat ears refer to the name of a village belonging to the locality, Grâușorul, and their number indicates the number of component villages.

The wavy bar symbolizes the river Niraj, which crosses the town.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
