Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in July 2024.

The inverted chevron forms a "V", the initial of the name of the commune and the cotices are taken from the coat of arms of the Champagne region. On the chevron there are elements taken from the arms of families that ruled the village in the past; the annulets are taken from the arms of the De Verrieres family, lords of the village around 1600, whereas the lions with the gold star are taken from the arms of the De Bossancourt family. They were lords in the 18th century.

The green colour as well as the wheatears refer to the agricultural character of the municipality.

The key and the sword in the lower half are the attributes of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, the patron saints of the local church.
