Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 13, 2001.
The arms date from late medieval times. The three stars are taken from the arms of the Lords von Ileburg, who ruled the village in the 13th and 14th centuries. The fish is a symbol for the importance of fisheries for the town at the time.
