Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ?

The cross refers to the Knights Templar, who founded the village, which was also named after them. The base (Berg) makes the arms canting. The village became later a possession of the Von Wulffen (red lion) and the Von Hardenberg (boar) families.
