LANGFÖRDEN
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Vechta
Incorporated into : 1974 Vechta
Official blazon
(de)
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 20, 1948.
The tower is the local medieval churchtower, a typical landmark in the municipality. The letters MXI stand for the Roman numeral 1011, the year that the church was founded. The label and the rose are taken from the arms of the Rüsche family, who played a major role in the local history.
