NEUBURG AN DER KAMMEL

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Günzburg (until 1973 Krumbach)
Additions : 1978 Langenhaslach, Wattenweiler (1932 Höselhurst)

Wappen von Neuburg an der Kammel

Official blazon

In Silber ein aus grünem Buschwerk wachsender roter Rehbock mit goldenen Stangen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1491 by Emperor Friedrich III. The arms show a deer, derived from the crest of the Lords of Rechberg zu Hohenrechberg, who ruled the town at the time. The arms have not changed since, except for some changes and differences in the colours through the centuries.
