OBERLAUCHRINGEN
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Waldshut
Incorporated into : 1971 Lauchringen
Official blazon
(de) In Silber drei aufsteigende rote Spitzen.
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1929.
The three points are taken from the arms of the Counts zu Sulz, who ruled the area until the late 17th century. The municipality used in the late 19th century a seal with a pine tree, similar to many other German villages. The State Archives proposed in 1895 the use of the arms of the counts instead of the pine tree. It took until 1925 befor the municipality decided to change the seal and adopt the arms.
