Selected collector's items from Germany:

LIEBEROSE

State : Brandenburg
District (Kreis) : Dahme-Spreewald (until 1994 Beeskow)
Additions : 1995 Trebitz; 1997 Blasdorf; 2003 Doberburg

Wappen von Lieberose

Official blazon

In Blau über einer roten Rose im Schildfuß ein gestürztes silbernes Sensenblatt begleitet von zwei schwebenden silbernen Zinnentürmen ohne Tore.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 15, 1993.

The oldest known seal of the city dates from 1553 and shows two towers with in between a small unclear symbol, most likely a rose. The towers probably indicate the fortified character of the town. Later the above arms developed with the canting rose and a scythe, taken from the arms of the Lords of Strehla.
