German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

NIEDERNBERG

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Miltenberg (until 1972 Obernburg am Main)

Wappen von Niedernberg

Official blazon

In Rot ein zinnengekröntes goldenes Tor, im Torbogen schwebend das silberne Mainzer Rad.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 3, 1959.

The arms show a Roman castellum, a fortress from which the village eventually developed. The wheel is the symbol for the [{State of Mainz]] to which the village belonged from 1292 until the early 19th century.
