Incorporated into : 1974 Bad Salzdetfurth
Official blazon
(de)
Origin/meaning
The arms are a combination of elements from the arms of two different families. The ibex is taken from the arms of the Von Steinberg family, who had an estate near the village from the early 14th century until 1570. Their successor was the Von Stopler family, whose arms are shown in the lower half. They owned the estate until 1816.
