ALLSTEDT
State : Sachsen-Anhalt
District (Kreis) : Mansfeld-Südharz (until 2007 Sangerhausen)
Additions : 2010 Beyernaumburg, Emseloh, Holdenstedt, Katharinenrieth, Liedersdorf, Mittelhausen (1965 Einsdorf), Niederröblingen (Helme), Nienstedt, Pölsfeld, Sotterhausen, Winkel (Helme), Wolferstedt
Official blazon
(de) Gespalten und halbgeteilt; vorn in Rot ein gekrönter silberner Adler am Spalt, hinten Schwarz über Silber, belegt mit zwei schräg gekreuzten roten Schwertern.
Origin/meaning
The arms are based on a 16th century seal. The origin is not quite clear. Allstedt belonged first to the County Pfalzsachsen, from which the eagle may be a symbol. Later it became part of (Kur-)Sachsen, the arms thereof are seen in the left half of the arms.
