In Rot eine fünfblättrige, golden besamte silberne Rose mit grünen Kelchblättern.
Origin/meaning
Rosenfeld was probably founded around 1255 by the Counts of Teck, and became a possession of Württemberg in 1317. The arms are canting, showing a rose. All known seals, the first from 1372, show a rose either alone or in a shield. The rose initially sometimes had 5 sometimes 6 leaves. The present rose, with 5 leaves, has not changed since the late 16th century. The colours are known since 1535.
The arms were not changed after the merger with other municipalities and re-granted on May 11, 1976.
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
