Official blazon

(de) In Grün über gewelltem silbernen Schildfuß eine durchgehende sechsgezinnte silberne Burgmauer mit Torbogen, darüber schwebend zwei schräggekreuzte Giebelbretter, die in auswärts gewendeten Pferdeköpfen enden.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1964.

The division line symbolises the Etelsen Castle.

The upper part shows two bronze age battle axes found in the municipality.
