Official blazon
- (de) In Blau unter einem von Rot, Gold und Blau gestreiften Regenbogen eine silberne heraldische Lilie mit goldenen Staubfäden.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 16, 1448 by Duke Albrecht III of Bayern. As the document still exists, the colours are known. The arms showed a five-coloured canting rainbow (Regen=rain), above the old village sign, the fleur-de-lis. In some later arms the rainbow was omitted, but generally the arms have not changed much. The rainbow was reduced to three colours in the last century.
