Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on December 10, 1993. The division of the shield is canting, a Winkel is a straight corner. In the village historically horse breeding was a main profession, and many inhabitants were coach drivers. This is symbolised by the horse and the wagon wheel. The millstone is a symbol for the millstone factory in the town.
