Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on July 30, 1938. The arms show three red chevrons, taken from the arms of the Counts of Ravensberg. The oak leaves are taken from the arms of the medieval Lords von Pladise von Ennigloh, whose arms are found already on a seal from 1384.
