Auf Silber acht blaue zum Schildrand eingebogene und zum abgerundeten linken roten Obereck gefächerte Balken Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on January 16, 2001. The arms are based on the logo of the Amt and show the 8 original municipalities as a blue points and the Amt itself as a red spot. After the merger in 1008 the arms were not changed.
