Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on December 5, 1995. The griffin is the griffin of Rostock and symbolises the influence of the city in the area, as well as the former district of Rostock-Land. The bull's head is the symbol for Mecklenburg. The staff symbolises the influence of several Bishops who held estates in the district. It also symbolises the Cistercian monastery founded in 1160 in Althof, which moved to Doberan in 1186. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
