Origin/meaningThe above arms were proposed in 1956; I have no idea whether the arms were actually adopted. The oldest seal of the village dates from 1544 and shows a bishop standing behind two shields. One with the red lion of Katzenelnbogen, the other with the golden lion of Nassau.
