Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 22, 2008.
The arms are those of the former Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Östliche Börde, to which all municipalities belonged except Biere, Welsleben and Eggersdorf. The arms simply indicate the importance of agriculture and mining in the region.
