Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1995.
As there were no historical arms or seals known, the arms were designed in 1994. The chestnut leaf refers to the characteristic chestnut trees in around the village. The swan stands for the Neu Bötzow village, which has a number of ponds, where swans are common. The blue coloour also indicates the many waters in the area.
