Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on April 5, 1971.
The upper half shows the lion and hearts taken from the arms of the Gifhorn district. The village historically was dependent on the city of Gifhorn. The base shows an old Saxon axe, indicating that the village is an ancient settlement of the Saxons.
