Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1997.
The arms are largely based on the arms of the von Burgsdorff family , lords of the village from 1450-1808. The base refers to the Oderbruch region and refers to the Oder river and the origin of the name (from a Slavic term for flooding).
