Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on November 17, 1955. The village was until 1852 the capital of the Wedemark region. The arms show the typical tower of the council-hall, the Amtshof, later the town hall of the Bissendorf council. The initials GW are those of Georg Wilhelm, Duke of Braunschweig-Lüneburg. The village historically belonged to the Duchy. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
