Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 2013.
The arms show the knight from the arms of Ichtershausen and a wheat-ear taken from the arms of the Wachsenburggemeinde. The wheat-ear also refers to the agricultural character of the municipality. The base shows the Wachsenburg castle, after which the municipality is named.
