Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 15, 2007.

The village is a health spa based on salt water. This is symbolised by the fountain from which a snake is drinking. The snake is generally a symbol of medicine as part of the Rod of Asclepius. The four marsh-marigold flowers symbolise the four (scattered) villages in the municipality. The flower is a common flower in the wetland parts of the municipality.
