Origin/meaning
The figure of the local patron saint, the Archangel St. Michael, already appeared on the oldest known seal, dating from the late 14th century.
Ever since the seals and arms have shown the saint, but in widely different shapes and with many different attributes. The present image is based on the image from 1767, the colours are known since 1819.
