Origin/meaning
The arms are partially based on the arms of the former municipalities. The linden tree is taken from the arms of Neustadt, the plough iron from the arms of Bischofferode. The Bode river is taken as a symbol for Großbodungen. The base shows the Ohmberg mountain after which the municipality is named.
