ZAININGEN
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Reutlingen (1938-1973 Münsingen, until 1938 Urach)
Incorporated into : 1975 Römerstein
German | In Blau eine aus dem Unterrand emporkommende silberne Schäferschippe, beiderseits begleitet von je drei goldenen Haberährchen. |
English | No blazon/translation known. Please click here to send your (heraldic !) blazon or translation |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 3, 1948.
The arms show a typical tool used by shepherds (it is called a Schäferschippe in German, I have no English translation), flanked by 6 oat grains. The arms simply indicate the main activities in the town at the time, the cultivation of oats, and keeping sheep.
