Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 25, 1962.
The arms indicate the former rulers of the village. The crosier refers to the Hornbach castle, which has several possessions in the area, and the pale is the arms of the Counts Von der Leyen, Lords of the village from 1614 until the 19th century.
