Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on October 18, 1995.

The arms are based on the older seal of the village which already showed an oak branch. This refers to the Emperor Wilhelm Oak in the village, planted on March 22, 1896. The arms were also designed for the 100-year anniversary of the oak in 1996.
