In Gold ein roter Sparrenbalken, begleitet oben von zwei roten sechsstrahligen Sternen, unten von einer roten Rose mit goldenem Butzen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1977.

The arms are based on the oldest known seal of the village, hanging on a charter from 1584. The meaining is not known, but the bar is taken from the arms of the Counts of Manderscheid-Kail to which the area blelonged at the time.
