In Rot der heilige Georg in goldener Rüstung, auf einem rücklings auf dem Boden liegenden grünen Drachen stehend und ihn mit einer goldenen Lanze durchbohrend.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 14, 1844.

The arms show St. George. The arms already appeared in 1591 (see below) for the then Rhodt under Rietburg, from 1300 to 1603 it was part of Württemberg. The arms also appear on the oldest surviving seal, known from 1719.

The original colours were changed to the colours of Baden, as from 1603-1798 the village was part of Baden. In the 19th century it became part of Bayern, and thus the arms were granted in 1844 by King Ludwig I of Bayern.
