Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 11, 1989.
The Imperial eagle is an indication that the villages of Mitteldachstetten, Oberdachstetten and the former Niederdachstetten were part of an Imperial estate until the mid 14th century.
The glove is a symbol for the -dachstetten part of the name, which may have been derived from a 'place of justice'. The glove is thus used as a symbol of justice.
The cross of the Turtonic Order indicates that the Order was one of the main landowners in the area in historical times.
