Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 12, 1993.
The wave through the shield represent the canal that runs through the village. The two parts of the municipality are connected through a bridge, which is also represented in the arms. The two oak leaves represent the two parts of the village as well as the large oak forests in the area.
