German In Gold zwei grüne, je mit einem roten Zinnenturm besetzte Berge, zwischen denen eine silberne, rotbedachte Kirche steht, über der der von Silber und Schwarz gevierte Schild der Hohenzollern schwebt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1559 by Markgraf Georg Friedrich of Brandenburg. The arms show the city in a valley between two mountains, each with a tower. Between the mountains is the shield of the Hohenzollern family, Margraves of Brandenburg.
