DREIEICH
State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Offenbach
Additions : 1977 Buchschlag, Dreieichenhain, Götzenhain, Offenthal, Sprendlingen
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 5, 1979.
The deer is derived from the old arms of Sprendlingen and refers to the local Hirschsprung legend. The three acorns are a canting element (Drei= three, Eich=oak), the five leaves symbolize the five former municipalities.
