Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 30, 1951. The arms show in the right half the arms of the Lords of Redwitz, who ruled the village for several centuries. The lords built at least 5 castles and the church in the municipality. The left half of the arms shows the local Eisturm tower, built in 1546.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
