Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1965.
The arms show the five wheatears as a symbol for agriculture and the five villages in the Amt (the four municipalities and the village of Überwasser).
To the Amt belonged:
- Amelsbüren
- Handorf
- Hiltrup
- Sankt Mauritz
