Origin/meaning
The arms of Amt Netphen were granted on August 17, 1937.
The arms show in the basea black boar. The boar is taken from the old seal of Netphen-Irmgarteichen (known since 1467). The lion in the upper part of the new arms is the lion of <a href=n/nassau|Nassau]], as the area belonged to the County Nassau-Siegen. The lion of Nassau is also part of all the Ämter is the (former) district Siegen.
