Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1596 by Count Georg von Erbach. The star is derived from the arms of the Counts of Erbach. The plough iron and knife are symbols for the importance of agriculture in the village. The meaning of the chevron is not known.
Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
