Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in July 1993.
The demi-eagle is taken from the arms of Brandenburg. The four bends refer to the four municipalities in the Amt.
Curiously, the arms are not according to the blason, which describes 2 bends and thus has 5 'fields'. The Amt, however, insisted on the use of 4 'fields' to represent the four municipalities. The issue was not resolved until the Amt ceased to exist in 2003. So for 10 years the Amt used the 'wrong' arms...
The arms are now used by Stahnsdorf.
To the Amt belonged:
- Güterfelde
- Schenkenhorst
- Sputendorf
- Stahnsdorf
