AGENBACH
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Calw
Incorporated into : 1975 Neuweiler
German | In gespaltenem Schild vorne in Rot ein linksgekehrter silberner Abtsstab, hinten in Silber ein blauer Wellenbalken. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1935.
The village historically belonged to the Hirsau Abbey from 1452 (when the village was first mentioned) until the seculariasation in 1807. No historical seals are known.
The arms were proposed by the State Archives in 1935 and show a crosier as a symbol for the Abbey and a canting blue wavy bar (Bach means stream, brook).
