Incorporated into : 1950 Landsberg

Wappen von Gütz/Arms (crest) of Gütz
Official blazon
German

Blau ein goldener Hammer, dessen roter Stiel mit einer quergelegten, goldenen, altgermanischen Schmuckspange (Fibel) belegt ist.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 15, 1937.

The symbols are taken from two memorial stones in the village. The hammer is the symbol of Thor/Donar, to whom a large stone ini the village probably was devoted, the Teufelsstein. On another stone the hammer and the clasp are shown.
